UT IMMERSION SYSTEMS
FILL UT IMMERSION SYSTEMS
The best choice when it comes to challenging requirements
For many parts in the aviation industry, immersion is still the first choice for inspection with ultrasound. Water provides optimal coupling conditions. Starting from rotationally symmetric parts supported by turntables, the range of applications does not even end with complex-shaped parts, metallic or composite specimens.
Although precise and durable kinematics are a precondition for this kind of inspection system, software plays a key role in addressing those challenging requirements. The hardware-agnostic UT interface allows the integration of the best possible UT electronics for each individual customer and use case (TPAC, FORCE, etc.).
Features like automated transducer characterization (ATC), fully automated kinematic calibration (FKC), TCP calibration utilizing ultrasound, and adaptive path optimization (APO) are just a few examples of why Fill is the right partner for this kind of system.
The concept
Full 6 DoF interpolation allows the precise guiding of conventional & phased array transducers along complex-shaped surfaces.
The in-house developed FKC calibration system (FILL KINEMATIC CALIBRATION) ensures easy-to-use control of the geometrical integrity of the system. The customer can validate, but also recalibrate, the kinematics without any limitations and without the need for a Fill engineer on site with a laser tracker.
