TILTCASTER C
The Casting Machine
The TILTCASTER C is a tilt casting machine that was specially developed for casting components for combustion engines, such as aluminum cylinder heads. The casting machine offers good accessibility despite its compact size. The TILTCASTER C can be operated either as a single casting with one mold o ras a double casting with two molds.
The Concept
The sand core is placed into the mold automatically or manually. After closing the slides, the casting machine rotates into the casting position. The casting pan is automatically filled with molten metal. The machine then returs to the 0° position and the mold is filled. The swivel movements are performed by a servo drive. Once the casting has solidified, the mold opens and the casting is ejected hydraulically and can be removed. The mold cleaning process is ergonomic, as the mold is tilted at a 30° angle toward the operator.
Features
- Optimal accessibility and efficient ergonomics for the removal of castings and cleaning the mold
- Free in-feed of all media required for the molds
- Compact and lightweight construction (rotary table compatible)
- Mold can be removed freely from above
- Reduction on cast springs due to high clamping forces
- Stable guidance systems prevent jamming when opening the mold
