Large numbers - short cycle times

When manufacturing parts in large numbers and short cycle times, the RTM (resin transfer molding) process is used in most cases. For this manufacturing technology, Fill develops and builds complete lines – from the raw material on the roll through to the machined and tested part. A classic example of this process is the leaf spring.

The concept

After preforming, the parts are manufactured in multiple cavities in the high-pressure RTM process. This is followed by final processing with robot systems or machine tools. In the last step, all parts are tested non-destructively for their required properties then packed.

The process traceability of every single part is extremely important for safety components. This is ensured by a central data management facility.
