The horizontal mold carrier was designed precisely for the production of large-area particle foam components with one or two cover layers with variothermal mold temperature control. Particular focus was placed on quick mold changes and ergonomics.

The concept

The horizontal mold carrier consists of a base frame with linear guide for a movable mold clamping platen 1 (MCP) and a fixed mold clamping platen 2 (MCP).

MCP 1 includes the hydraulic control axis for the compression stroke. The temperature control units can be placed on a built-on platform.

MCP 2 is mounted stationary on the base frame. The dosing technology is laterally inserted into the molds.

The tools are centred by means of hooks and bolts and fixed using rotary lifting clamps. The tools are changed using a crane.

Ejector functions can be specified by the customer.
