FRAME MOLD CARRIER
The strong mold carrier
With its high clamping forces, this mold carrier is particularly suited to manufacturing processes with high specific internal pressures, such as RIM processes. In this case, the mixing head is mounted directly on the tool.
The concept
The mold carrier is constructed in the form of a frame. The clamping cylinders are arranged in a row, forming a force ring.
The traveling frame is guided over roller guides on the lateral columns.
The mold carrier is closed by hydraulic cylinders; the traveling cylinders also provide the clamping force.
The tools are mounted on clamping platens with T-nuts and T-slots. Both upper and lower mold clamping platens are pivoted.
Features
-
High clamping forces
-
Ease of operation due to swinging of upper and lower mold clamping platens
-
Large clearance between the columns enables lateral docking of the mixing head
-
Ease of access to the front and rear of the tool
-
Distance measuring system on the parallel stroke for different tool heights
-
Low hydraulic power requirement due to special hydraulic technology
-
Energy-efficient by frequency converter regulated hydraulic system
