Raw material store
The high-bay warehouse is used to store all dimensions of the raw plates required. The raw material store is both stocked and unloaded using the handling gantry.
Handling gantry
The handling gantry takes care of the storage and retrieval of the plates in and out of the high-bay warehouse as needed. It positions the plates on the measuring and labeling table, then places them on the infeed roller conveyors of the plate saws.
Remnant store
Plate remnants with measurements within defined format limits are kept in the remnant store. They are fed back into the saw as needed after they have first been labeled.
ALU PRECISER plate saw
The positioning carriage transports the material to the cutting position with high precision (with absolute coordinates on both sides). The pressure bar closes on the material and the saw blade is positioned electrically. Pneumatic pins are installed in the pressure bar both to compensate for thickness and evenness tolerances of the material and to allow a clamp release during the last cut.
Two independent, electrically operated alignment mechanisms press the material against the angle stop under torque control to guarantee maximum angle accuracy. A patented mobile extraction hood removes chips that cannot be extracted during saw entry or during a scrape cut.
Measuring and labeling table
At the measuring and labeling table, the raw plates are aligned against two stops and their length and width measured. Labels are then applied to the plate according to the cutting plan.
At the labeling table for remnants, remnant plates from the remnant store are aligned against two stops and labels again applied according to the cutting plan.
Unloading robot on 7th axis
Robots handle all semi-finished and finished plates, that is:
- Intermediate storage
- Turning and repositioning of semi-finished plates
- Placement of remnants into the remnant store if not needed immediately
- Stacking of finished parts onto the removal conveyor or a pallet
Pallet magazine
The pallets provided in the pallet magazine are transported out individually as required and made available to the robots, which stack customer orders on them as specified.
Logistics
The production batches picked for customer orders are transported out on roller conveyors.
Fill develops and builds fully automated cutting lines that process aluminum raw plates into customized blanks. For this purpose, we link several saws and storage systems and handle the data management between all components and the control system.
The concept
The raw plates are fed to the sawing system either directly via handling systems or via storage systems and can be labeled according to the cutting plan. The CYBERNETICS control software controls the most efficient processing of the cutting plan via several plate saws. Scraps can be temporarily stored or transported out and scrap can be separated by type. The finished blanks are stacked fully automatically according to customer orders. Various checks (dimensions, weight, etc.) can be integrated into the process, and packaging of customer orders ready for transport is also possible.
