Speed & efficiency: Wood processing and automation from Austria score highlyat Milan trade fair

Optimization and increased cost-effectiveness are more decisive than ever.Fill scores at the "Xylexpo" with the new generation of wood processing machines.

Fill caused quite a sensation with the "speedliner" range of bandsaws at the Xylexpo international woodworking exhibition in Milan (4 - 8 May, 2010). At the Fill exhibition stand, an increased level of interest was also registered in customer-specific machining and automation solutions. The Austrian high-tech company attracted a great deal of attention in Milan from partners, press, and trade representatives alike. With individually tailored solutions, innovations, and increased efficiency in the production process, Fill is the leading manufacturer of wood processing machines in this segment. "Optimization and increased cost-effectiveness are the decisive criteria for our customers", says CEO Andreas Fill.

Milan/Gurten, May 12th, 2010Austrian know-how und innovative ability founded on three decades of specialist machine engineering attracted the attention of the many trade visitors at the Xylexpo in Milan. Under the motto "Licence to Fill“, the Austrian high-tech company presented the leading innovations in wood machining at the international exhibition for woodworking technology. "Meeting in person and talking face-to-face are the best forms of communication. Tailor-made solutions are developed jointly in the active exchange of ideas with our customers,“ explains Erwin Atlendorfer, the new Head of the WoodCompetenceCenter at Fill.

Unbeatable cost-effectiveness

Depending on individual requirements, "speedliner" high-performance bandsaws may be operated in production lines of several consecutive, automated bandsaw modules or as free-standing machines. The robust design of the speedliner 920 bandsaw facilitates the cutting of very wide and/or very thick blocks, with the narrowest of kerfs. Fill has recently been able to assert the company´s market leadership, especially in the field of special applications for innovative fine-cutting solutions. The sturdily built speedliner 710 - our entry-level model - impresses with the simplest of operation and handling. It is particularly suited to the production of lamellae for the parquet, door, and furniture industry. The speedliner 710 was presented "live" at the Fill exhibition stand in Milan.
