A summer evening like in Mexico: colorful, loud and full of joie de vivre.
On Friday, June 13, the Fill team experienced an unforgettable Mexican-style event. True to the motto “Sombrero on, worries out”! all Mexican fiestas - from Día de los Muertos, Batalla de Puebla and Fiesta de Guelaguetza to Carnival & Co - were celebrated in a single evening at the Summer Festival 2025.
An evening full of color and Mexican cuisine
In the weeks leading up to the festival, the chestnut garden - a landscaped courtyard at the company's Gurten site that is ideal for outdoor events - was transformed into a colorful world full of joie de vivre thanks to numerous helpers.
As soon as they arrived, the 450 guests - employees and their partners - immersed themselves in the typical local atmosphere with colorful lights, traditional music and a cheerful mood. Caterer Kulinario spoiled the visitors with local specialties and proved once again that Mexican cuisine has much more to offer than just corn and beans: Fresh ingredients, strong flavors and creative dishes left nothing to be desired. The matching cocktails - from Tequila Sunrise to Cuba Libre - were available at the Tropicana Bar.
Music, sombreros & piñatas
DJ legend José D provided the musical entertainment with a mix of Latino beats, classics and summer hits. After a few drinks at the latest, everyone was dancing and celebrating - just like at Mexican fiestas: relaxed, warm and full of joie de vivre.
With two creative games, not only fun but also excitement was guaranteed at the summer party. While the “sombrero cactus throwing” game required skill, concentration and a bit of luck, the “piñata strip guessing game” called for completely different skills: close observation, logical thinking and clever calculation methods could sometimes lead to winning a prize.
Until the tequila sunrise ... It was midnight in no time, but that didn't dampen the guests' spirits. The Fiesta Mexicana in the chestnut garden lasted until the early hours of the morning. There was lots of dancing, laughing and partying until the first rays of sunshine lit up the chestnut garden.
Una noche fantástica - full of color, joie de vivre and unforgettable moments - that's how the Summer Festival 2025 will be remembered by everyone who attended!
