As part of the Austria-wide Long Night of Research, one thousand of interested people came to us to Gurten on Friday, May 24, 2024. The rush of visitors was huge right from the start.
During guided tours of the company, they learned how Fill is supporting the transformation in e-mobility from the classic combustion engine to e-mobility. Visitors were also able to experience first-hand at numerous stations how the latest production technologies have a positive impact on the environment, what the future of education looks like and what research projects Fill is currently working on.
The Future Lab 2 go proved to be a particular highlight of the event. This hands-on station was a fun way to learn about the latest technologies and try them out for yourself. Here the two robots DASH and ALPHA MINI delighted visitors with cool dance moves. In the Media Lab, visitors recorded exciting videos using a green screen and transformed the Future Lab 2 go into a beach or jungle at the click of a mouse. Young and old alike found it very exciting to immerse themselves in a virtual world with VR goggles and solve motor tasks. Creative talents were delighted with the small works of art that were created in a matter of minutes at the 3D printing station and which they were able to take home with them as a souvenir of the Long Night of Research at Fill.
While the majority of participants came from the local area, the Fill team was particularly pleased to welcome Mr. Ole Öhlers from Airbus in Stade near Hamburg, one of Fill's customers, who traveled to Gurten especially for the Long Night of Research.
