This summer, as part of the “Fill your life” program, Fill once again offered a varied summer program for the children of Fill employees.
The free Future Lab workshops provided exciting experiences, creative challenges, and many technical discoveries.
Through initiatives like these, “Fill your life” provides targeted support to employees at different stages of life and helps them achieve the best possible work-life balance.
The Future Lab inspires young explorers
Whether experimenting with the green screen, building with 3D printing pens, or “training” the Robo-Dog Bruce - the young participants were able to experience technology up close and get hands-on. A group Mario Kart tournament also generated a lot of excitement, with everyone cheering enthusiastically. Thanks to the impressive 360° screen, it almost felt like a trip to the movies.
Another highlight was the tour of two Fill machines. During the tour, the children gained an exciting insight into the world of mechanical engineering and discovered the innovative high-tech systems developed and manufactured at Fill in Gurten.
The “Build your own boat” workshop was especially popular this year. Each child designed their own boat, which was then printed on a 3D printer. Powered by an inflated balloon, the boats were then taken straight out onto the water - and the custom-designed boats zoomed through the cool water at high speed.
