BMW apprentices and trainers get to know the Fill apprentice world
On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, around 50 apprentices and their trainers came to Gurten for a return visit, after the Fill apprentices had already enjoyed unique insights into the working world of the BMW plants in Landshut and Dingolfing in February.
The company presentation by Andreas Fill in the Future Dome was followed by a tour through the company for one half of the visitors, while the second started the day directly with the workshop in the Future Lab. After a joint lunch, the groups were swapped.
During the tour of our production halls, various stations were on the agenda, ranging from the new welding robot, the test center and the machining hall to a customer project and presentations on the topics of digitalization and FLOW in the Future Zone. The guests from Bavaria also showed great interest in our – of course much smaller - training center.
An exciting experience for both groups was the "Team Challenge" in the Future Lab. This workshop focused on team building and competition. After getting to know the eight labs and their technologies, the teams performed the "Robocup". In the process, each team made its contribution to the successful execution. The digital networking of the labs and the common goal made the "We are one" spirit clearly tangible.
The visit of the apprentices and trainers from BMW was a special day for us and a very valuable exchange. Thank you for coming and all the best for your further apprenticeship!
