Aluminum machining from a single source, extending from motors to structural framework components and battery housings – Fill impresses at AMB 2022.
The world premiere of the SYNCROMILL C21-63/1500 dual-spindle machining center was an absolute highlight and a veritable visitor magnet on Fill's exhibition stand at the AMB trade fair in Stuttgart from September 13 to 17. The newly developed machine type attracted a great deal of attention from the international trade fair visitors. It facilitates the production of battery housings and structural parts for the latest vehicle generations from aluminum castings or extruded profiles with previously unattainable dynamics and quality. The Upper Austrian machine engineering company has evolved into a technological leader on the market, both for machines and systems and for digital products.
Stuttgart/Gurten, September 27, 2022 – "Thanks to our broad product portfolio, extending from casting to welding, machining, inspection, and assembly, we are a one-stop shop for our customers in the production of aluminum components. Our holistic solutions for e-mobility, ranging from motors to structural framework components and battery housings, attracted a great deal of interest at AMB 2022, which manifested itself in many technical discussions and huge numbers of visitors," reports Friedrich Dallinger, Head of the Metal Machining Technology Competence Center at Fill.
World premiere at AMB 2022
With its new development of the SYNCROMILL C21-63/1500 dual-spindle machining center, Fill has set another benchmark in the field of efficient component machining. Exceptionally compact dimensions of 4.9 x 4.8 meters, an extremely large operating range of 1,500 x 1,200 millimeters, and short chip-to-chip times of 2.0 seconds are just some of the outstanding characteristics. The focus here is on aluminum structural components and extruded profiles. The flexible machine concept enables efficient implementation of various machining tasks. Intelligent clamping concepts ensure economical and reliable machining. The rapid progress in e-mobility increases the significance of lightweight construction for the automotive industry. Furthermore, a second machining center in the form of the SYNCROMILL C21/63-600 could be seen live in action on the Fill exhibition stand. Large quantities of motor components, for example, are manufactured with the greatest precision with the innovative machine concept.
