With the exclusive "Walk of Fill" gala evening, Fill Machine Engineering celebrated its young professionals who completed their apprenticeships this year.
Successful completion of training marks the first step on their career ladder for the 18 young Fill employees. To celebrate this befittingly, the international machine engineering company invited its young talents and their families to the "Walk of Fill" at the Future Dome in Gurten, Upper Austria, on April 22. The event included a photo show, a festive dinner, and the official presentation of Fill certificates to the new skilled workers. The program was rounded off with performances by the Jonglissimo ensemble, which thrills its audiences with a unique mix of juggling, theater, and technology.
Gurten, April 25, 2022 – "With the 'Walk of Fill' we want to offer our new skilled workers a fitting apprenticeship graduation ceremony in an extraordinary setting. After three and a half years of training, they have taken their first step on their future career path at Fill by completing their courses. We want to celebrate this together on this evening," explains Philipp Heissbauer, apprentice training team leader at Fill.
Comprehensive training for tomorrow's skilled professionals
Great importance has been attached to training young people at Fill, ever since the company was founded 56 years ago. Hundreds of them have passed through the high-quality scheme, which features a state-of-the-art apprentice workshop and reflects the latest technical standards. And many of them now work in senior positions at the globally successful company. Around 80 apprentices are currently undertaking training in the vocational fields of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, machining technology, electrical systems engineering, design engineering, technical drawing, operating logistics, and application development. Fill has long recognized that sound professional training of tomorrow's specialists is the best means to combat the prevailing skills shortage. This is also why the machine builder offers its employees a whole range of benefits away from the daily working routine, making Fill a particularly popular employer in Upper Austria and beyond. Numerous prestigious awards for being an employee- and family-friendly company attest to this commitment.
Arousing interest in technology at an early stage
The Future Lab, hailed as the "coolest knowledge factory for digital talent and innovative minds," provides children and young people with a modern knowledge and learning workshop to stimulate and foster enthusiasm for digitalization, research, innovation, natural sciences, and technology at an early stage. Numerous activities, including the Long Night of Apprenticeships and participation in the Upper Austrian Jobweek, raise young people's awareness of Fill as an attractive employer.
