Newcomer in the Fill Future Lab. Young people gain their first experience of an industrial robot with the CRX-10iA from Fanuc.
Fanuc’s first collaborating lightweight robot (Cobot) is the latest highlight in the Robo Lab, one of eight laboratories at the Fill Future Lab. With an unladen weight of 40 kilograms and a payload of 10 kilograms, the CRX-10iA is one of the world’s lightest and most maneuverable industrial robots. The featherweight is a member of the “Cobot” family. This term is used to describe industrial robots that work jointly with people and do not need to be isolated from human contact by protective equipment in the production process. These collaborative robots use sensors to work safely and harmlessly together with their human colleagues. The Fanuc CRX-10iA is therefore perfectly suitable for use in the Fill Future Lab, where young people can gain their first experience of interacting with a robot.
Gurten, October 6, 2021 – “With the new Cobot, we now cover the entire bandwidth of robots in our Robo Lab: from the ‘Cubetto’ educational robot for three-year-olds through to the Fanuc industrial robot suitable for everyday use by older children from the age of 15,” says a delighted Andreas Fill, CEO and proprietor of Fill Gesellschaft m.b.H. The Cobot for the Fill Future Lab was provided by Fanuc, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of factory automation, industrial robot, and CNC systems. “Fostering young talent is a major concern for Fanuc. Fill’s Future Lab offers children and young people ideal conditions for arousing their interest in technology and gaining their first experience of robots,” says Thomas Eder, Managing Director of FANUC Österreich GmbH, explaining the motivation behind the collaboration with Fill.
