Fill's senior citizens in Burgenland

06.04.2023

Fill employees maintain close ties with the company, even after their active employment comes to an end. This time, some headed to Burgenland for three days.

From March 31 to April 2, a group of around twenty former Fill employees took a trip together to Burgenland, where they spent three days enjoying a diverse itinerary and some convivial time together. A close relationship with the company is also fostered beyond the active working time at the Innviertel-based machine builder.

Gurten, April 4, 2023 – "Our 'Fill your life' work-life concept offers support from babyhood through to retirement age. The main focus in all activities is on people and community," explains CEO and proprietor Andreas Fill. For example, the successful company is a pioneer in terms of childcare with its in-house "Planet Filli Future" kindergarten for employees' children. However, former employees already enjoying their retirement also remain connected to the company. This manifests itself in a range of joint activities, from the "retirees' regulars' table" through to company celebrations.

From sister company to wine cellar
The retirees traveled by bus from the Innviertel to Burgenland, where the first point on the itinerary was a tour of Fill's sister company Boost Automation GmbH in Hornstein. This up-and-coming company works in the fields of software engineering, digitalization, and the building of automation and robot cells. The next stop was the Sattler Winery in Jois, where wine tasting was accompanied by excellent cuisine. Saturday was a full day for the retirees, with a visit to the Mönchhof Village Museum followed by a horse-drawn carriage ride from Illmitz to the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel national park. Their return home on Sunday was punctuated by a stop in Eisenstadt, which included a tour of the Esterházy Palace. The journey ended with the travel group in high spirits and very impressed by what they had seen. "A wonderful getaway on which we really enjoyed each other's company and had fun talking about old experiences and stories. We look forward to the next joint activity with our former work colleagues," said one participant, putting everything in a nutshell. Some of the retirees contributed actively to the organization and acted as tour guides, while the trip was funded with generous support from Fill.
