A week that will go down in company history: Between September 9 and 16, Fill was recognized for its innovative engagement in employee development with three respected awards.
The first was the TRIGOS AWARD, the most prestigious accolade for responsible business practices in Austria. The concepts for the spontaneously initiated apprentice challenge, an online assignment for apprentice teams during the first lockdown, and the FILL FUTURE LAB impressed the jury, who explained their decision as follows: “The ‘Future Lab’ initiative is a well-thought-out concept for raising awareness about MINT (mathematics, IT, natural sciences, technology) topics and involving different stakeholder groups. The actions of Fill Gesellschaft m.b.H. in this field extend far beyond general expectations, not only creating added value for their own situation (re.: skills shortage), but also achieving a wider-ranging impact with the Fill Future Lab.”
On September 9, Upper Austrian companies were rewarded for outstanding commitment in HR management for the first time with the “HRbert” award. Fill won the premiere prize in the “INNOVATIVE LARGE COMPANY” CATEGORY. Standing in for the apprentice challenge project managers, CEO Andreas Fill accepted the award from Markus Achleitner, Upper Austria’s Minister for Economic Affairs, at the Bruckner University in Linz.
The aim of the “METALWORKING INDUSTRY IDEAS COMPETITION” was to get more apprentices interested in the wide field of metal technology. Here too, the “FILL FUTURE LAB” project impressed the jury: “It allows young people to experience the exciting world of technology in a unique way, arousing their interest and fostering their talents.” This was their justification for awarding third place and therewith the third distinction in this remarkable week of September 2021.
