FULLY AUTOMATIC PRODUCTION LINE FOR BATTERY HOUSING

By successfully designing, manufacturing, programming, assembling and commissioning the first battery housing manufacturing project for a customer in neighbouring Bavaria, Fill has set a milestone for e-mobility. The fully automatically processed battery housing will be used in the Mercedes-Benz EQC to be launched on the market in mid 2019.

The entire automated welding and machining process is carried out by more than 10 machines from the Fill syncromill family for aluminum profile pre-machining as well as for base plate, intermediate and final machining. The welding line also included in the Fill scope of supply, consisting of 14 welding cells with a total of 64 welding, handling and testing robots completely programmed by Fill software engineers, completes the globally innovative and high-tech production process of the battery housing.
