100TH FILL SAW HEAD GOES TO JAPAN

The issue of wet cutting in wood machining and processing is boosting bandsaw sales at Fill Machine Engineering. The reason for this is the new generation of speedliner hybrid bandsaws. It facilitates significantly more economical production of lamellae by cutting them from wet wood. Wet cutting saves time, energy, and drying chamber capacity. It results in a massive increase in productivity and wood yield from solid timber processing. Virtually all renowned European industrial board and parquet production companies as well as numerous overseas businesses number among Fill´s satisfied customers in this sector. The one hundredth bandsaw module was delivered only recently. Fill received the order from Karimoku, with DKSH Japan K.K. acting as a mediator. Successful preliminary acceptance of the one hundredth ´anniversary module´ by a delegation from Karimoku and DKSH took place on 10 September at the Fill plant in Gurten. The machine is already on its way to the Land of the Rising Sun.
