NDT Applications Engineer Aerospace
Your responsibilities:
- Commissioning ultrasonic testing systems for the global aerospace industry, both in-house and at our customers’ sites worldwide
- Handover of the inspection systems to our customers following successful commissioning and acceptance
- Programming, simulating and commissioning new components in the digital environment using digital twins
- Offline programming, as well as testing and optimising complex aircraft components
- Delivering training for customers both in-house and on-site at the customer’s premises, including internationally
- Development of new testing technologies in close collaboration with our customers and our laboratory
- Support and preparation of application studies for our customers
- Carrying out regular system calibrations (geometric calibration/ultrasonic technology) using state-of-the-art technology
- Analysing and rectifying faults during commissioning, as well as optimising machine processes through to successful customer acceptance
Your profile:
- Completed technical training in the field of electrical engineering/mechatronics (HTL, master craftsman’s qualification or equivalent)
- Interest in interdisciplinary work (electrical engineering/mechatronics/application engineering)
- Enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies in the aerospace industry
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Willingness to undertake further training in ultrasonics (Levels U1–U2) and to acquire basic knowledge of control engineering (Siemens Sinumerik/PLC)
- Interest in control engineering, drive technology and robotic systems
- Good command of German and English
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Ability to work as part of a team and strong communication skills
- Class B driving licence
