Diploma thesis for HTL: Optimisation of pneumatic blow-off functions and coolant cleaning nozzles
Initial situation:
‘Where there's machining, there are chips’
This also applies to Fill's machining processes. Pneumatic blow-off functions are indispensable for eliminating contamination on components and protecting sensitive components. When optimising these functions, the design is considered from the supply to the nozzle. The same applies to cleaning nozzles that are operated with aqueous media. The task is to reduce consumption and improve the result. To this end, the existing systems are to be considered and analysed holistically and new nozzles are to be designed independently and manufactured using 3D printing.
Tasks:
- Definition of requirements
- Market research - selection of manufacturers
- Create calculation template for pipework + valve technology
- Design nozzles and visualise blow cone accordingly
- Manufacture nozzles using 3D printing
- Determine air consumption in the test setup
- Take energy-saving measures
- Interpret and document the results
Your Profile:
- Ongoing education in a HTL
- Motivation & reliability
Our offer:
