Initial situation:
Cone clamping elements are used in many Fill designs. The advantages of these connections are:
- Inexpensive to purchase
- Simple geometry for the elements to be connected (cylindrical bore / smooth shaft)
- Backlash-free connection (suitable for alternating loads)
- High torques can be transmitted
Unfortunately, there are always problems with these fasteners slipping. For this reason, this fastening system is to be systematically analyzed in order to identify the key influencing factors that lead to premature failure.
Tasks:
- Analysis of the installed systems
- Documenting the strengths and weaknesses of the different construction variants
- Construction of test setup (parts production at Fill)
- Planning and execution of the load tests
- Test evaluation / influencing factors and their effect on the torques to be transmitted
