Diploma thesis for HTL: Basics for the design, manufacture and assembly of core joining pallets and core grippers
Initial situation:
In modern casting plants, the core is gripped from an assembly/jointing pallet by means of core grippers and placed in the GM/mold. This process requires the highest precision and a great deal of of know-how from design to assembly. The aim of the diploma thesis is to examine and optimize the entire process and to optimize it.

Tasks:
- Selection of gripping concept per core
- Tolerancing of the production parts and selection of materials with regard to warpage
- Determination of necessary tolerances for the manufacturing assembly and data preparation for the metrology engineers
