Bachelor/Master thesis: Event discrete simulation of production plants using web technologies
Initial situation:
For the analysis and optimization of key production figures such as cycle time, capacity utilization, material consumption, etc... Fill uses the Visual Components software, in which discrete-event processes can be modeled and visualized in a 3D environment. For portable dissemination of the results, a web-based simulation report was developed in-house, which displays the recorded movements of the 3D models in the browser. The disadvantage at the moment is that after the recording it is an animation and a later modification of the simulation parameters in the browser is no longer possible. In the context of this work a software prototype is to be developed, which makes it possible to let run provided simulation models by means of Web technologies in the Browser. For this purpose, a suitable method is to be developed to transform modeled processes in such a way that a parameterizable simulation is made possible in the browser. The visualization is to be done by means of the WebGL library three.js.
